We had a nice stay overall, and the cabin itself is in a beautiful location. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and we appreciated the space and layout.
We did want to mention that a few of the amenities highlighted in the listing, especially in the game room, weren’t in the best condition during our visit. The pool table was difficult to play on due to felt and slab issues, almost all of the Nerf items didn’t work, and the shuffleboard needed cleaning and the powder reapplied before use. We also noticed a couple maintenance items around the home.
These weren’t trip-ruining by any means, but the game room was a big part of why we chose this place, so we wanted to share our experience in case it helps the hosts with future updates.
Overall we enjoyed our time and think with a little extra attention to the amenities, this cabin will be an even better stay for future guests. First, I want to say it kills me to not rate Matt’s place 5 stars. Matt was incredibly responsive.
10 of us for Thanksgiving. The house should have been relatively self sufficient for us to cook dinner. It wasn’t. The maintenance company doesn’t do their job. There was a ton of stuff missing (measuring cups, serving pieces, etc.). The downstairs floor was littered with skittles, the bar was dirty, and shower was clogged. The latch to the deck gate wasn’t functional (found this out when my 150lb Great Dane walked away). The dog “station” out back was overflowing with dog feces and they never came to empty it after Matt told them.
The propane tank was empty. When we warmed the gas grill up we nearly burned the porch down because nobody had cleaned the drainage tray underneath and the grill caught fire. Fortunately, I’m a fireman and prevented any damage.
My dog did cause damage to the blinds which I reported, but cost $500 to fix?
Matt was great, management co sucked!
