Welcome to Knasgowa! - Knasgowa, meaning "Heron" in the Cherokee language, symbolizes peace and harmony. We decided to name the cabin as a tribute to these birds that often fish behind the cabin.
This private (Direct Access) lakefront retreat features 3 king bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and 2 dogs. Situated on 8 private waterfront acres with just a few steps to Douglas Lake makes the backyard truly feel endless.

Driveway At The Lake House
* The driveway is steep but there is plenty of space to use as a turn around to pull down the driveway driving forward and turn around at the base of the driveway to pull out forward. In the winter time, 4WD might be needed if there is snow or ice on the driveway.

* We provide a pack and play and high chair.

* Your lock code will be sent to you 24 hours prior to your arrival. You do not need to pick up any keys.
Military, Veteran, Police & Firefighter Discount
We are proud to offer all Current Military, Veterans, Police & Firefighters a 5% discount. In order to receive this discount, you must make your reservation first then send us a message with a copy of your proof of service. The name on the reservation and payment must match the name on the proof of service. We will then refund 5% of the accommodation back to you in the resolution center the day of your check in.
Starter Pack and Linens: Included are towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup wipes, sheets, quilts, extra blankets, pillows, and more. You will receive a sponge, dishwasher pods, detergent pods, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, bar soap, and other extras we like to surprise you with.
Guests will have full access to the entire home, excluding a few owners closets.

Indian Creek Boat Ramp is available for your use to bring your own boat to this property. It's located just 3 miles from this property. We recommend to park your trailer at the boat ramp.

Pros, <br/> This home was absolutely amazing, the firepit was perfect setup for our family to enjoy and the home was laid out so nice to give space for relaxation. We walked the drained lake bed and collected cool rocks with our children to bring back home as souvenirs, we even got to see deĺ. The game station was a blast for our son to play while we were getting ready to leave or making a meal, we even played with him as there were at least 60 different arcade style games on it. Overall we give this home an easy 5 stars in every category, any questions we had for the hosts was answered in 5 minutes or less! A

We stayed 3 nights and had zero problems. The house was clean and the hosts were very quick to respond to any questions. The driveway is super steep but we got in and out just fine. And although we were bummed the lake had already been drained (early Oct), the video games, foosball table, hot tub, and fishing poles were a great plus! Kitchen is fully stocked if you want to make home cooked meals but all commercial shops/restaurants were about 30 mins away if needed. Morning views are amazing! Chuck

Pleasant, well furnished. Problem with the ice maker should have been known and fixed before arrival. Biggest disappointment was the tv. Very limited programs unless you love Leave It To Beaver reruns. No. College or pro football. Really miss CNBC. No shower gel, shampoo nor conditioner. No facial tissues. Dishwashing liquid and a drain board would have b even helpful. We love Douglas Lake and this was the perfect place for peacefulness and relaxation! The lake had plenty of elevation and weather was perfect during the last week of August. The property sits in a private cove and was perfect for our two large dog breeds, we could keep them off leash to run the property without worries (both are trained with recall as well). The cabin was clean and cozy, beds comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and we had no issues to ever warrant a call to the owner. The view of the lake from upper cabin deck was stunning. There was plenty of entertainment for the older kids (hot tub, foosball table, PacMan, and all the lake activities). The dock and property were selling points for us to rent. The dock was a super nice double decker with an umbrella to pull out if you need it for some shade! Loved that the dock was relatively easy access without of ton of stairs compared to some properties, my 85 year old grandmother could still get to the dock and enjoy the lake!
